Yes, for the safety of your pet, we require that puppies be at least 4 months of age to start at Bark Avenue. This is the minimum age at which they are fully vaccinated.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner service to all of our guests. Our house food is Nutrisource Chicken and Rice kibble. We also have Fromm available by request.

While we are happy to provide food for our boarding guests, we do recommend bringing in your dog food from home, to avoid any stomach upset due to the change in diet for your pet.

We recommend your pet stays on the same diet they are used to during their stay with us. The boarding environment can be stressful for some dogs, so keeping them as close to their usual routine as possible is paramount.

Bring any bedding or blankets that will make your pet feel at home! We can also provide a raised bed and blanket for your pup. If our staff notice a pet is chewing/destroying their bedding we will remove it for their safety and replace it with our own pet-safe bedding. Oversized bedding is not recommended to allow plenty of room for your pet to stretch their legs and to store food/water bowls.

For your pet’s safety, we do not allow toys unsupervised while in their lodgings, as they could be a choking hazard. If you would like your pet to have a specific toy from home during their playtime, bring it along with them and let the front desk know! We typically do not allow toys in group play as pets may become possessive over their belongings.

Yes! All medications can be administered for a small fee. We just ask that all medications be labeled with your pet’s first and last name and in their original container. We will also want to go over any special health concerns about your pet.

Yes. Since there is a high amount of animals in our facility on a daily basis and it’s our responsibility to keep them all safe, pets are required to be on a flea and tick treatment.

No. Pets from different families are never kept together. Each pet enjoys his or her own personal space and interacts with Bark Avenue staff only on an individual basis.

Yes! Family members typically enjoy their stay more when they’re around their siblings. In the event of a “disagreement”, we will separate pets for their safety.

We remove collars for their safety. We give your dog a printed collar with his/her name and important information on it for identification.

Yes. You may have someone else pick up your pet as long as we have your written authorization, the name of the person on file, and payment arrangements have been made in advance.

Each guest receives a card and collar for identification purposes when checking in. This identification card contains important personal information and care instructions and accompanies your pet throughout his/her stay!

Yes! Please, feel free to contact us at any time during regular business hours to check on your pet. We’ll be happy to give you an update!

No. In addition to dog and cat boarding, we also open our doors to birds, exotics, and small animals!

No, but we do fill up often, so a reservation is recommended. If you can, please try to make reservations as much in advance as possible. Although we attempt to accommodate all requests for lodging, we do experience certain “peak periods,” generally occurring around busy holiday periods and traditional summer vacation months.

Yes. It is just like bringing a child to school. Even though we take every precaution to protect your pet from being exposed to disease while staying at Bark Avenue Pet Resort, any situation where multiple animals are in one area, it becomes possible for them to contract an airborne illness from another pet. This is why current vaccinations are mandatory. To further reduce the risk, we use stainless steel food and water bowls, which are sanitized between each use, and we keep our housekeeping sanitation procedures similar to those in human hospitals.

We allow tours daily at 12 noon, and require that tours are scheduled in advance. This is to ensure that the pets in our care are not disrupted during their scheduled playtimes. Please call our front desk at (480) 210-5610 ext 2 to schedule a tour of our facility!

To keep all our furry guests healthy, we do require proof of vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian.
