What is your experience, including any schooling? 10 years of building experience, 6 years as an Inspector, 10 years as a Retail Manager at a big box store.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? Maltese/Yorkie – Coco, Poodle – Ruby, Maltese/Poodle – Bear

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? The opportunity to become part of the Bark Avenue Family. I have been a client for over 15 years and feel I can bring some value with that experience.

What do you like to do in your free time? 1. Build hot rods, 2. Scuba diving

If you could be any animal, which would you be? Shark – I love the ocean!

What are you passionate about? My family.

What is your secret talent? Baking, decorating cakes and painting cars – Yes, I like to think I really can do it all.

What is your experience, including any schooling? Customer service, retail management and a love for animals brought me to the pet care industry.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? My pet pals are my family. Bear is an adorable yellow lab terrier mix. Mano is a lovable brown tabby kitty cat. Cloud is a whirlwind lighting fast grey tabby kitty cat.

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? Growing up with animals I always felt very loved and wanted to give the love back to the animals.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love to paint, dance, hike, gaze at the stars, and am working on making my dream of owning my own natural herbal skin care company.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? I would be a fox; because they are clever, resourceful and friendly, not to mention…so cute!

What are you passionate about? My job as a manager, caring for animals and creating natural herbal skin care for animals and humans alike.

What is your secret talent? I can clap with one hand.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? I have 4 dogs at home – Cody, Loki, Petey and Boo Boo

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? I have always had a love for animals and have been around them my whole life. 

What do you like to do in your free time? I hang out with my dogs and spend time outside.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? I would be a horse, they are so majestic and free spirited.

What is your experience, including any schooling? I have had dogs and cats all my life. In the past, I have trained them and bred them. I love animals so much!

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? My passion is for animals, I love them and want to be around them all the time. Animals are the best!

What do you like to do in your free time? Mostly spending time with my dogs, playing or training them, or reading.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? I would be a mouse.

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about animals and making sure they are well taken care of. I am also passionate about baking, cooking and reading.

What is your secret talent? A useful one would be being able to stay very calm in most situations and I ‘think’ I am a pretty fast learner.

What is your experience, including any schooling? I previously worked in a retirement home and as a receptionist at a nonprofit. I also have my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pacific University in Oregon.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? I lived with a chihuahua/pug mix named Chico. He was my roommate’s, but everyone thought he was mine because I would always walk him.

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? Four legs, good. Two legs, bad.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to go to the movies, eat Italian food, and read Sigmund Freud.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? A bat.

What are you passionate about? Movies and philosophy…you know, the important things.

What is your secret talent? I can name any movie with just one frame.

What is your experience, including any schooling? I have been taking care of children since I was 11 years old, I graduated High School and moved on to get my Certificate in Respite Care Worker so I could work with disabled kids. I have also been in customer service since 2017.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? I have a rescue dog named Charlie. We had a second rescue named Jasmine, but sadly she passed away of old age.

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? I love animals and people so much, I thought working in the pet industry was an amazing opportunity where I can work with both.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love to read, watch movies and spend time with my family. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be? I would be a horse because I have always loved the freedom and compassion they represent.

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about learning and education in all the forms they come in. I also am very passionate about others and their feelings.

What is your secret talent? I do not know if it is a talent, but I can read really fast.

What is your experience, including any schooling? In 2011 I received my Associates Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. In 2016 I received my International Professional Groomers License. I then went to Betty’s Grooming School for their 300-hour course and completed an Apprenticeship where I got to learn directly under Sara Syzmanski for specialty show grooming.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? Corgi – Broccoli, Desert Tortoises – Frank and Shelly

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? It’s very rewarding for me to work with animals, to help them look and feel their best!

What do you like to do in your free time? I’m very into nerd culture! I enjoy finding good comics and watching old weird movies.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? I would want to be a Gyrfalcon…or a Pterodactyl if we can choose pre-historic!

What are you passionate about? I’m very passionate about creating art in all forms!

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? I love animals! I also wanted to learn more about the pet resort industry first hand.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love cooking, playing dungeons and dragons, and being piled up on the couch watching TV with my babies.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? A cat. They get to sleep and sun bathe all day.

What are you passionate about? Taking care of my animals; they are like my children!

What is your secret talent? It’s not much of a secret, but I am a pretty good cook and I have a knack for being able to add a movie quote into any conversation.

What is your experience, including any schooling? Repair and improvements of residential and commercial properties. Project management, purchasing negotiation aircraft maintenance, cost estimating.

What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? Right now we have a female cat named Baby.

Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? The animals

What do you like to do in your free time? Accepting this position gave me a way to combine two things I love which is building/facilities management and animals of all species.

If you could be any animal, which would you be? Our one and only dog was a Jack Russell Terror…I mean Terrier. I loved his energy. 

What are you passionate about? Life and all it has to offer and all sports, especially baseball, which I played for 16 years.

What is your secret talent? I can sing with the best of them on karaoke night…after a few beers.

Anything else you would like to mention? My wife and I are originally from Chicago. We relocated to Arizona in 2008 to be with family. Karla (my wife) and I have been married for 26 years and have no children.

My name is Dr. Ryan Ainsworth, I attended Arizona State University and received my undergraduate degree in Agribusiness with a pre-vet concentration in 2004. I then graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and went on to complete a 1-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center in Mesa. I started working in general practice in 2009 and in 2014 I decided to purchase my very first practice, Mesa Northeast Animal Hospital, I then went on to purchase Noe’s Ark Animal Hospital in 2016, and then purchased Bark Avenue Animal Hospital, Bark Avenue Pet Resort, and Bark Avenue Pet Supply in 2018. A very exciting time! I became interested in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2012. I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I practice both Western and Eastern medicine. I currently see dogs, cats, reptiles, and small mammals including ferrets and rabbits.

My name is Ron, I have been working in the veterinary field since 2002. I have a special interest in skin diseases of companion animals and spent 7 years working with various dermatologists. I am also a member of the Arizona Veterinary Health Care Team where I keep up with continuing education and perform monthly veterinary dermatology lectures for peers across the country on VSPN (Veterinary Support Personnel Network). I traveled all the way from New York to Arizona in 2010 and now live with my spouse. 2 boys, and two pups Victoria, a Tibetan Terrier mix, and Albert, a wirehair Jack Russell Terrier!
